Lacking a better comparison, Wildbirds & Peacedrums are as if Laurie Anderson was a great sexy sweaty polar bear or a cavewoman: esque raw & hairy but gentle and warm fist. From the stone age. Sounds interesting? It is! The duo, Wildbirds & Peacedrums, started in 2005 and has since then spread their fantastic and special music from the stage and through a couple of self-produced CD-R’s. Mariam Wallentin and Andreas Werliin build their music on vocals and drums and then expand and develop it with some help from electronic devices and other instruments such as the sitar and the glockenspiel. A perfect mix of spiritual pop, free-blues and raw soul music makes this band one of the most interesting in Sweden today
