
Also known as Mathew Houck, Phosphorescent is what a lonesome Georgian summer would sound like if there were morning doves all covered in grit, flittering about, the dust flying from their wings as they reveled in the sunlight. Blissful, sad, and a little country, Mr. Houck's crackling voice invokes plenty of melancholic nostalgia.
As an artist on Warm records, he released his first full-length in 2003, A Hundred Times or More, to much applause and teary-eyed folk. A year later came The Weight of Flight, also on Warm.
